In the last century, the world has changed, quickly and radically. Ordinary people have been touched by extraordinary changes—a complex mix of changes that have altered the way we live, the way we work, the way we think, and the way we act. Change breeds uncertainty and in these uncertain times, many have turned (or returned) to God as the source of comfort in a world turned upside down by the global economy, social chaos, and heinous acts perpetrated by desperate and misguided human beings. But history teaches us that it is in the vortex of such chaos and upheaval that God truly shows His light and His mercy, calling upon men and women to special deeds and special sacrifices.

While there are many ways to answer God’s call, one of the most challenging and noble ways to do so is to choose a life consecrated to service to humanity in God’s name. It is a journey of commitment and re-commitment to God’s eternal love expressed through the deeds of those who have dedicated themselves to making the world a better place through prayer, through healing, and by being a life-giving presence in the lives of others.

It is a  choice that each Sister of the Order Saint Basil the Great has made and we invite you to explore the path we have chosen and to walk with us.
