Circle of Ministry

From its earliest days, the Jesus Lover of Humanity Province of the Sisters of the Order of Saint Basil the Great has been a community committed to education, pastoral ministry, evangelization, and prayer.  Throughout our history, our work has been enabled and assisted by the kindness of others who believe in our missions.

Joining Your Legacy with Ours

Today, in addition to our core missions, the Sisters of our Province are committed to perpetuating the work of our predecessors, addressing new circumstances, needs, and challenges as they arise.  And, like our predecessors, we accomplish the goals of our mission with the generous help of others.

Your donation or bequest enable us to continue our important work.  We thank you by keeping you in our hearts and prayers.  Your generosity is a gift shared with others, and each small success and each small victory mirrors your kindness, your faith in God, and your faith in our good works.

How You Can Help!

By responding generously to our appeals

During the year, the Sisters of the Order of Saint Basil the Great send appeals for financial assistance for our many ongoing projects and programs.  The successes of these programs can be read about in our Provincial newsletter, Gladsome Light.

By Supporting our Ministry of Prayer - Saint Basil League of Prayer

The Saint Basil League of Prayer encompasses our various bilingual cards.  Whether as a way to offer condolences, to let someone know you are thinking of them, or for congratulations, the card recipient will receive additional comfort knowing the Sisters’ prayers are with them.

This mission is staffed by our “retired” Sisters and the donations we receive from the Saint Basil League of Prayer are used to care for and provide comfort for our eldest Sisters.  By supporting this ministry, you are providing for these amazing women that continue to perform God’s work.

By Joining the Mother Helena Langevych Legacy Society

The Mother Helena Langevych Legacy Society is a tribute to our foundress.  It is dedicated to preserving and sharing the story of the life and legacy of this courageous woman who ministered to many while sacrificing her own health as she carried out her great mission in God’s name.  By joining the Society, you are intertwining your legacy with the legacy of the past with the realities of the present and carrying forth a faith in the future.  It means serving God and others in the steadfast and pioneering spirit of Mother Helena.

One of the objectives of the Mother Helena Langevych Legacy Society is to grow the awareness of the Sisters’ bequest program.  Bequests allow your name and memory to live on pas your earthly life.  Naming the Sisters of the Order of Saint Basil the Great as a beneficiary in your will is a wonderful way for you to support those that have given so much for our faith and culture.  Click here for the brochure.
