Community Days 2009 The annual Community Days for the Sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great, Jesus, Lover of Humanity Province were held on July 1, 2, 3, 2009 at the Basilian Spirituality Center in Fox Chase Manor, PA. The focus of the days was on “Creating Space For Rest That Leads to Wholeness” within the context of prayer, dialogue and socializing. Continuing on the theme of personal renewal in preparation for the Centennial Celebration of the Province in 2010-2011 the Sisters continued their Sabbath journey reflecting on ways of Faithful resting, Grace-ful resting, Physical resting, shared resting and social resting. Sister Laura Palka, Provincial Superior, welcomed the sisters with the hope that as we journey through these days we may be led to a place that is filled with lightness and laughter. Sister Elaine Kisinko, OSBM, from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Province set the mood with her personal reflections of her Sabbath journey through life highlighting what Sabbath meant to her as a child and now in her later life. Relevant reports on the state of the province were shared and discussed.
